Week 3: Stockton Creekside Week - Conference Weekend

Jackson's Mission President and his wife were able to spend the Sunday afternoon session with the Stockton missionaries.  They had this picture taken yesterday and sent it after conference.  Always fun to get surprise emails during the week.

Since Jackson is just getting settled in the area and both him and his companion are new to Stockton his letters are pretty much just answering questions that I have.   It's quite the adjustment to go from seeing someone and being able to text every day to going to one letter each week.   They also aren't in a tracting mission so they rely on the member referrals and just talking to people on the street.  I'm sure as things get more settled and more productive the letters will change.  I'm excited to see his progress.

Family and Friends,

All is going well, no investigators yet but that will come with more time.
The apartment is all clean now, and actually smells alright for two young men.  We go shopping on preparation day, so every Monday, and we go and pick up the few things we need to survive the week without going to restaurants every day.  We have dinners at a member's house just about every night, very few nights a month will we not have dinners.  And we have a washer and dryer in our apartment so we don't have to go anywhere and pay to wash our clothes.

We email from the family history center at the stake center in our area.  Elder Larson and I don't have a car so we get rides from all of the other companionships that do have cars.  It's a couple miles from our apartment but too far for us to want to ride there.

I'll do my best to reply to letters but there isn't all that much time because of how long planning goes or how long we have to take out of the day to account for travelling.

Love,
Elder Weber
