Dear Family and Friends,
All is going well. I forgot to say in last weeks email that I've gained 10 pounds since I came out into the field. So now I weigh 140. Mostly because the members here feed us really well and they always have really big meals for us.
The young black man was the one who got baptized. He is 16, and his name is Quincy. He started coming to mutual with the youth and just kept coming and started going to church and then decided he wanted to get baptized. The young man who baptized him is 17 and his name is Nathaniel. He is one of Quincy's good friends in the ward and got to exercise his priesthood as far as baptizing for the first time. And the other Elder is my new companion.
He is from Twin Falls, Idaho. He is 19 and his name is Elder Baird. He is really tall as you could probably see. He says 6'4". But he is really fun. And it is a great experience being able to train a new missionary. There is a lot more praying and thinking and working that comes with training. He does a pretty good job just for starting and he was super prepared to come out but there is still a lot to teach him as far as my knowledge for the first 6 weeks.
Other than those, we have another baptism coming up on this Saturday for a young man named Dakota. He is Sis. Harper's nephew. He is super excited, especially after being at Quincy's baptism on Saturday. He has had a little bit more time than Quincy had to learn before baptism but it is definitely coming up fast.
And as for the money, we are planning on budgeting better but we have been out buying ties and stuff that we aren't supposed to use the mission cards for. It just happened last month too that we had to buy a lot more food because we cleaned the apartment and then had to buy all new food. So as far as money goes now we shouldn't be using so much money on our personal cards anymore.
Well that should be about it for the week, but lots more to come.
Elder Weber
